How I started refereeing WC games:
I began officiating after many years of playing and then coaching basketball. After two
years of refereeing able-bodied games, I was invited to watch some wheelchair games and
was disappointed that the level of commitment and effort the officials were displaying was
far below that of the players. I wish to state that I have had the pleasure of
working with some excellent officials from whom I have learned a great deal and to whom I
owe much for my development.
