 Billy
began practicing/playing with the LWBA in the 1999/2000 season. Always active in team
sports, Billy became interested in wheelchair basketball while still an
inpatient at the local SCI rehab center.
Billy
sustained a spinal cord injury in late August 1999, and has approached the sport of
wheelchair basketball with the same enthusiasm and determination he has
demonstrated while facing the numerous hurdles of SCI recovery and rehabilitation.
In
addition to basketball, Billy is an active member of his church youth group, enjoys music and
socializing with
friends and his younger sister, Jory.
